TIL Motorola CPUs 68020 and above will work around some odd-addressed word- and long-alignment memory errors instead of raising an exception like the 68000 would. I had a few of those strewn throughout my code, and so the game would crash with guru 80000003 on a stock Amiga 500. Those are now corrected and the game runs with really great performance on that early Amiga system! #commodore #amiga #indiegamedev

Yay! Head konk collisions work! Ground and air drag, gravity, and wall collisions during falling all function correctly. Time for some serious code cleanups around this codepath, and then it's on to more game functionality. #amiga #indiegamedev
