Realized I never shared the finished versions of these sorta experimental mashup linocuts I did a week or so back. I think they turned out pretty fun.

And hey, if they never end up selling I'll prob cut em down and laminate them into bookmarks or something.

Finally managed to get a little time last night to finish off this round of linocut bluejays.

Got a tidy edition of 40 out of this one and this yellow colorway will be exclusively for my next round of guerilla print drops.

Excited to hide them around the city once they're finished drying!

A black cat stamp!

I love experimenting with repeating patterns like this! Designing it in a way that the whiskers line up is real pleasing to my brain. The prints in this image are still just the testers with a stamp pad, but I’m excited to try and make a fancy schmancy print with actual ink!

Things feel real gross and overwhelmingly bad lately but I’m here to offer a bright spot in your mailbox— a free valentine!!! All you gotta do is fill out the “Hello Valentine” form in my bio so I know where to send it.

That’s it! No strings, no fees, just answer a few questions and this 5x7 block print will be headed your way via snail mail.

Free valentine prints will be sent out on Saturday, 2/8– you have until 11:59pm AKST on Friday, 2/7 to submit your name. If you miss your shot, it’ll still be available for purchase after that for $12, including shipping.

Last year was my first time sending out block print valentines to friends and it felt real good. As a beginner at this craft still, it’s a fun way for me to experiment and share my art! Not to mention process my feelings about the depressing state of things— using sharp things to carve pretty designs is very satisfying to my brain and the focus it takes helps me tune out the anxiety from doomscrolling for a bit.

It also helps me feel like I’m putting good into the world instead of just consuming terrible things. If it brightens even one person’s day, it’s worth it!

Yesterday I carved the letters forward which prints them backward. Today I started a new one. I got all the letters on correctly, I'll carve it tomorrow.

I am mailing some bookmarks I made to some friends and wanted to send them in #handmade cards. So I made these with another #blockprint .

I choose carrots, as I'm looking forward to gardening in a few weeks once spring comes.
