Since I´m trying to imitate the tone of Golden Age sci-fi, I figured it´d be fun to study a pose from a Planet Comics cover and adapt it to my space ranger. Forgot to upload this- went ahead and made up a background in Clip Studio for that earlier study/swipe. @StJack You really captured the flavor! Gesture, silhouette, and anatomy were so important in these old pulps, especially since printing was so mushy - it really needed to be solid to read. It is fascinating to see how you have broken it down to the foundational level instead of just the surface finish. It'll be exciting to see how this project develops.
